Classifind Cut: 1981 Dodge Mirada CMX – Sold?
February 10, 2021 Update – We just confirmed the listing for this “Classifind” expired, so with no replacement found we’re assuming this ride “Sold?” While this one got away, please reach out either by email or call Rudy directly if you’d like to be informed when we come across something similar.
One of the bright spots in Chrysler’s early 1980s car design was the angular and hardtop styled, rear-wheel-drive, Dodge Mirada. Chrysler developed a significantly downsized version of its personal luxury coupes by basing them on a modified Dodge Aspen/Plymouth Volare chassis. Over the past few years, the proliferation of modern Mopar Hemi engines always has us secretly wanting to stuff one into one of these last-of-the-rear-drive-two-doors made by Chrysler. If you also have a similar desire, then this 1981 Dodge Mirada CMX project car originally listed in January 2021 on Craigslist in Windsor Locks, Connecticut for $3,980 may be the right example to start your build with. The Collector Car Market Review Online Tool confirms the ask falls between this guide’s current #4 “Fair” estimate of $2,250 and its #3 “Good” appraisal of $4,250.
Here’s the seller’s description:
“rare 1981 dodge mirada 59542miles runs great white leather white top tranny great need a little paint mag wheels in trunk great American muscle V8 cars going for 8k to 10k great buy will restore myself if does not sell! have a lot of other project going on my loss is your gain”
