Classifind Cut: 1983 Cadillac Seville 21K Mile Survivor – Sold?
February 15, 2021 Update – We just confirmed the listing for this “Classifind” expired, so with no replacement found we’re assuming this ride “Sold?” While this one got away, please reach out either by email or call Rudy directly if you’d like to be informed when we come across something similar.
In a rare early-1980s breakout move by GM designers, Cadillac surprised many luxury buyers with its “bustle-back” second-generation, Seville for 1980. Now based on the front-wheel-drive E-body platform, the new car was essentially a four-door Eldorado that shared many interior trim details and powertrain. While most came equipped with some sort of carriage rood simulating a convertible top, we like the look of this steel-topped, touring suspension equipped, 1983 example originally listed in January 2021 on Craigslist in Darlington, Maryland. Said to be a 21K original mile time capsule and benefitting from a complete sorting to get it roadworthy again, the current caretaker has it listed with an asking price of $14,995. The Collector Car Market Review Online Tool confirms that ask is likely a bit too optimistic as it’s several thousand dollars above this guide’s current #1 “Excellent” appraisal of $11,775.
