January 12, 2021 Update – The private seller of this interesting ’73 Plymouth Barracuda just relisted their car after letting their listing from last fall expire. This car first appeared in March of 2020 and after reducing their asking price to $47,000 last fall, the seller now has it relisted at the original ask of $55,000 The pictures and description are all pretty much the same. September 12th Update – The private seller of this ’73 Plymouth Restomod allowed their Craigslist post to expire, so with no new listing found, we’re calling this Barracuda “Sold!”

August 3rd Update:  After originally featuring this modern Hemi-powered ’73 Barracuda restomod back in March, we just weren’t sure how quickly this would sell at $55,000.  The private seller pulled the post just two weeks after listing the car, so we assumed it went quickly.  Well, a fresh listing we just came across over the weekend confirmed the same seller continues to offer their quality Barracuda, albeit for a lower ask of $47,000.

Question:  When is a Hemi ‘Cuda not really a Hemi ‘Cuda?  Answer:  when it’s a 1973 Plymouth Barracuda restomod fitted with a 5.7 Liter Hemi donated from a 2012 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack car.  That’s exactly what the seller of this Lime Light Green over white vinyl interior now relisted here on Craigslist in Exton, Pennsylvania for the $55,000 in March 2020.  Checking the Hagerty Insurance Online Valuation Tool for a stock ’73 Barracuda confirms this private seller now has his restomod priced $900 higher than the  the current #1 “Concours” estimate of $46,100. The restomod treatment tends to see the asking prices of quality builds command a premium over an original as the asking price is typically still lower than the actual try-and-replicate-it-for-this-asking-price.

The limited pictures and concise description have us believing this is a restomod that will not disappoint when seen in person.  Just remember to follow proper social distancing guidelines when you do. Good luck with the purchase!

“This 1973 Plymouth Cuda has a motor from a 2011 challenger RT with an automatic transmission equipped with pistol shifter. this is a rust free car with beautiful paint and interior. Power steering and power brakes (Wilwood Master cylinder and front discs) also equipped with a functional shaker hood and rear go Wing) brand new 17 inch Magnum style wheels with new tires. This car is a very dependable and smooth driver and needs nothing. Last show it was at it one best Mopar. I will consider a trade for a late 40s or early 50s Chevrolet or Ford pick up truck. Preferably with some drivetrain and chassis upgrades. i’m not looking for a project. I have clear title and this is an honest car. The car will not leave my possession until fully cleared funds are received. And scammers, seriously don’t even bother.”

Brand new 17-inch wheels and BF good rich GeForce tires. Functional shaker hood and go wing. Wilwood Master cylinder and power disc brakes. Power steering as well. This car runs and drives perfectly. This car is extremely reliable and has never overheated. I may consider a trade for a late 40s or early 50s pick up truck or possibly a Bronco, blazer or international scout. This Cuda is a no disappointments car.”

I may be willing to except a trade and cash for a late 40s or early 50s pick up truck. Not looking for a project!
