Classifind Cut: 1975 Pontiac Firebird Espirit – SOLD!
February 6, 2021 Update – we confirmed the seller of this “Classifind” deleted their listing, so we’re now able to call this one “SOLD!” While this one got away, please reach out either by email or call Rudy directly if you’d like to be informed when we come across something similar.
If you were around in the 1970s, seeing us feature this 1975 Pontiac Firebird Espirit likely made you think of actor James Garner’s car in the TV series The Rockford Files. Fun fact: While the cars used in the show appeared to be entry-level Firebird Espirits, they were actually Firebird Formulas underneath to provide the performance needed for the chase scenes. If you have a desire to channel your inner Jim Rockford, you can find this car just originally listed in January 2021 on Craigslist in Bellflower, Illinois (Chicago). Reported to be a one-owner, 76K mile survivor, the Califonia blue plates have us thinking this may be a private flip, but given the amount of work put into the car, we say no harm, no foul. Offered at $9,500, comparing that price against the Collector Car Market Review Online Tool confirms the private seller has their Espirit priced correctly at this guide’s #3 “Good” appraisal of $9,525.
Here’s the seller’s description:
“Amazing one owner survivor car. 1975 Pontiac Firebird Esprit. 350 motor with only 76K miles on it, 350 auto transmission. The car has been completely gone through with new tires, brakes, gas tank and sending unit, upholstery, carpet, hoses, battery, and more. Has numerous nicks, dings, and dents from being original and unmolested. Any rust on the body has been treated and repaired. Trunk pans & floor pans are good. The motor does not smoke or knock. Open clear title.“
