Classifind Cut: 1954 Buick Roadmaster Convertible – Sold?
February 10, 2021 Update – while this “Classifind” expired recently, given the seller’s past history we suspect may not actually be sold yet. For now, we’re labeling this ride “Sold?” However, we will keep an eye for updated listings. In the interim, please reach out either by email or call Rudy directly if you’d like to be informed when we come across something similar.
January 27th, 2021 Update – After an expired listing had us believing this vintage Buick drop-top sold before the end of 2020, we came across a fresh new year listing relying on the same pictures and continuing to ask $40,000. Unfortunately, in the new description, the owner of the past 35 years hints divorce forces this sale. The fresh listing can be found here on Craigslist.
Between the huge front-bumper Dagmars adorning its front bumper, to the dramatic sweepspear cascading along its sides topped by faux ventiports, mid-fifties Buicks remain among our favorites. Not only do we love the fact this 1954 example currently originally listed in December 2020 on Craigslist in Ashford, Connecticut is said to be a 68K original mile example, we think it’s fantastic this Buick is currently being offered by the second owner of the past 35 years. With a current asking price of $40,000, the Collector Car Market Review Online Tool confirms the ask falls between this guide’s #3 “Good” estimate of $38,950 and its #2 “Very Good” appraisal of $54,325.
Here’s the seller’s description:
“1954 Buick Roadmaster Convertible. I’m the second owner and have owned this car for about 35 years. 68,000- original mile, never restored, just maintained. Looks and runs great. First year of the 322 nailhead V8 in this model. Everything Works and she cruises on the highway with ease. Electric windows all work and hydraulic top works as it should. Lots of spare parts accumulated thru-out the years. Come over and take a look. Cash Only.”
