Jan 2021 | Classifind Cut, Classifinds, Free For All Friday

February 5, 2021 Update – A great survivor classic car offered for less than ten thousand is a recipe for a quick sale. We confirmed the seller of this “Classifind” deleted their listing after just one week, so we’re now able to call this one “SOLD!” While this one got away, please reach out either by email or call Rudy directly if you’d like to be informed when we come across something similar.

Anyone who says a nice survivor classic car can’t be had for under ten grand anymore needs to be shown this 1965 Chrysler 300 Four-Door Hardtop the private seller originally listed in January 2021 on Craigslist in Hammonton, New Jersey for $7,800.  The second owner reports  Comparing that price against the Hagerty Insurance Online Valuation Tool confirms the private seller has their 300 priced between this guide’s #3 “Good” estimate of $5,800 and its #2 “Excellent” appraisal of $8,900.  Similarly, the  Collector Car Market Review Online Tool confirms the asking price of this Chrysler falls between this guide’s #3 “Good” estimate of $5,150 and its #2 “Very Good” appraisal of $8,300.

The gold-over-black color scheme is a classic mid-1960s combination and while factory air conditioning isn’t present (it was still a rare option even on 300s back in the day), power brakes and steering combined with a tilting steering column likely make this 300 a breeze to drive.  This is a clean four-door hardtop that will gain you entry into just about any car show you decide to cruise to with it.

Here’s the seller’s description:

“1965 Chrysler 300 with a 383 big block, with 85000+- original miles. New tires, carburetor just rebuilt, the interior and body in excellent condition, power brakes, power, and tilt steering. The car has been in the family for 35 years we are the 2nd owners. The car has been garage keep and well maintained over the years. Great car to get into the car collecting. The car runs and drives great. Do not have to sell so please no low ball offers. Do not need help to sell. I will only trade for CASH!!!
