Overland Project: 1990 Chevrolet Van 4×4 Hightop – SOLD!

Feb 2021 | Craigslist ClassiFINDS, Truckin Tuesday

March 1, 2021 Update – we confirmed the seller of this “Classifind” deleted their listing, so we’re now able to call this one “SOLD!” While this one got away, please reach out either by email or call Rudy directly if you’d like to be informed when we come across something similar.

With the pandemic now entering a full year, many people are looking to Overlanding as a way to get away from it all while social distancing.  Vintage Vans fitted with high-top roofs combined with a 4×4 conversion make excellent palettes to complete your Overland Build.  Our latest find fitting this category is this 1990 Chevrolet Van originally listed in February 2021 on Craigslist in Lake Placid, Florida in need of restoration and camping equipment fitting. Offered at $8,500, comparing that price against the NADA Guides Online Valuation Tool confirms the seller’s asking price is well above this guide’s “High” retail estimate of $4,050, however, the premium here is in the High Top roof and 4×4 conversion.

Here’s the seller’s description:

“It is a 1990 chevy van with 87,000 miles. It is a military 4×4 high top conversion. High top is fiberglass. It is running and driving. Needs rust around window frame repaired and front windshield replaced. Great project for any overland enthusiasts.

Overland or work duty: what would you do with this Chevy 4×4 van?  Comment below and let us know!
