1966 Oldsmobile 442 L69 Hardtop – Bid Now!

GuysWithRides.com is excited to auction this 1966 Oldsmobile 442 we personally photographed. This 442 features the very desirable combination of the 400 cubic inch L69 tri-power engine and factory A/C. Bidding is now open and will continue through Friday, April 2, 2021 at 7:00 PM EST.

The first impression you get when you see this ’66 Oldsmobile 4-4-2 in person is how straight the body panels are and how scratch-free the single repaint on a rust-free example remains to this day.  As you can hear in the video above, the factory L69 tri-power set-up is dialed in properly. The only modification from stock is the addition of an under-dash mounted Satellite Radio system with the antenna mounted on top of the dashboard. During our photography shoot of this car, we notice only two minor cosmetic issues:

  1. The hood insulation, while solid, is discolored in sections. The underhood presentation would benefit greatly from a NOS or reproduction pad.
  2. You’ll note in the picture provided below the vinyl side panel of the driver’s seat has several minor scuff marks.

This 4-4-2 is currently located in Burlington County, New Jersey, a suburb of Philadephia.  In addition to this 4-4-2 benefitting from a recent detailing that featured an application of ceramic coating, the seller is offering free enclosed trailer door-to-door shipping (certain conditions apply)!

To help you make informed bids, here is a summary of both the Hagerty Insurance Online Valuation Tool and Collector Car Marketplace estimates.  We’re pleased to report Bert agreed to a very realistic reserve price we believe will help find the next caretaker for this neat piece of history!

    Hi Rudy,

      Hi John,

Yes, everything including the A/C works on the car. The only non-original item is the under-dash Satellite radio. Great 4-4-2 that looks and sounds amazing in person.

These are way cool, but the body style change in ’68 is mondo cooler.
