Classifind Cut: 1980 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Brougham – SOLD!

by | Apr 2021 | Classifinds, Malaise Monday

April 18, 2021 Update – we confirmed the seller of this Cutlass Supreme “Classifind” deleted their listing, so we’re now able to call this one “SOLD!” While this one got away, please reach out either by email or call Rudy directly if you’d like to be informed when we come across something similar.

In 1980, personal luxury two-door coupes still dominated the sales charts, and leading their popularity was the Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Brougham such as this 64K original mile example originally listed in April 2021 in Trafford, Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh) for $6,500 currently. Comparing that price against the  Collector Car Market Review Online Tool confirms the seller has their Cutlass Supreme priced $200 less than the #2 “Very Good” appraisal of $6,700 before factoring in a five percent premium for the optional 260 cubic inch V8.

Not only was this 1980 Cutlass Supreme one of the most common new cars on the road that year, but we’d argue this car’s Camel metallic was also one of the more popular exterior colors chosen by new buyers that year.  Cosmetically, this example looks like an unmolested survivor matching the miles traveled thus far.  The only thing we would prefer is a picture of the driver’s seat cushion without the orange towel in place to confirm the amount of wear we would be dealing with.  If you are handy, it sounds like this Cutlass comes with a number of replacement parts ready to be installed however, the owner’s back problems prevented him from doing that.

Here’s the seller’s description:

“1980 Cutlass Supreme Brougham. 64,000 original miles. No rust. V8-260. Rally gauges. Rally Wheels. Runs good. Have many extra parts to put on- upper and lower control arms with ball joints and bushing already installed on them, coil springs, rotors, calipers. Etc. planned on replacing all but hurt my back and can’t do the work. $6,500 or best offer.
