In an effort to offer a smaller and lower-priced offering in its lineup, Rolls Royce launched its Series I Ghost in 2010, followed one year later by the extended wheelbase version featured here. In a nod to its German parent company, the Ghost is based on a platform shared with the F01 BMW 7 Series. Not surprisingly, approximately twenty percent of the parts are common to both cars. One key sharing is a modified version of the BMW N74 V12 engine, called the N74B66 that produces 562 horsepower and 575 foot-pounds of torque, which is enough to propel the Ghost from 0-60 miles per hour in just under five seconds. Despite sharing the 7-series platform, the Ghost EWB rides on a 136.4-inch wheelbase and enjoys bespoke roof- and hood heights as well as a wider footprint. The Ghost rides on air springs borrowed from the larger Phantom and also shares its big brother’s FlexRay electronic system. Ghosts typically weigh in at approximately 5,500 pounds.
The seller is the second owner of this Ghost. He purchased the car when it was one year old. We personally photographed this stunning automobile and could not find any cosmetic defects during that time. During a battery replacement at the end of April 2021, Kerbeck Rolls Royce completed a thorough inspection of this car to confirm nothing else was needed at this time. Here is a copy of that inspection:
Below you will find the CarFax report confirming the second owner purchased their Ghost in 2013 when the car was only one year old. The report notes a minor accident. Unfortunately, the owner’s chauffeur reportedly misjudged the garage door while backing out one day. This minor damage and subsequent repair performed by Kerbeck Rolls Royce totaled nearly seventeen thousand dollars, of which the receipt detailing said repair immediately follows. In case you’re wondering, the chauffeur was relieved of his duties immediately after the incident.
