GuysWithRides.com is excited to offer this flathead V8-powered, Harley-Davidson-themed, 1950 Ford F-1 Panel Delivery for our latest reserve auction lot. The current caretaker, Neil, is the fourth owner of this interesting early 50s Panel Truck build. We love seeing vintage Fords retain their Flat Head V8 power train and if you agree, you will not be disappointed. This Panel delivery received a full restoration approximately fourteen years ago. The repaint relied on the correct Harley-Davidson purple, black, and lime green colors.
Subtle upgrades designed to improve driveability include dual one-barrel carburetors fed by an electric fuel pump. An upgraded electronic ignition ensures reliable starts while a unique six-volt alternator provides more reliable charging without the wiring issues that can come about upgrading to a 12-volt system. While you won’t win any drag races with this Panel Delivery, you won’t have trouble keeping up with modern traffic when needed either.
To improve comfort while cruising, Neil elected to install late-model GM cloth buckets seats, however, a matching bench seat is included with the sale. Also worth noting is the fact this Panel Delivery features a recently rebuilt braking system from the master cylinder down to the wheel cylinders and shoes.
