Detailed Droptop: 1992 BMW E36 318iC 5-Speed – SOLD!
June 11, 2021 Update – we confirmed the seller of this BMW “Classifind” deleted their listing, so we’re now able to call this one “SOLD!” While this one got away, please reach out either by email or call Rudy directly if you’d like to be informed when we come across something similar.
Three Series BMWs of the E30 and E36 variety represent the pinnacle of analog, sport sedan design. No one did it better than BMW in the 1980s and 1990s. While many might gravitate towards finding a six-cylinder version of these cars, a stick-shift-equipped 318i can be just as much, if not more, fun. A prime example is what appears to be a finely detailed white-over-tan 1992 E36 currently listed here on Craigslist in Broadway, Maryland (Washington, DC) offered at $15,250 currently. Comparing that price against the Hagerty Insurance Online Valuation Tool confirms the private seller has their Bimmer priced between this guide’s #3 “Good” estimate of $12,500 and its #2 “Excellent” appraisal of $20,400.
If this BMW is half as good as it appears to be, run, don’t walk, to buy it. E36s in this condition are becoming harder to find and prices are on the rise as a result.
