1991 Mazda Miata 21.5K Mile Survivor – Sold?
July 4, 2021 Update – We just confirmed the listing for this “Classifind” expired, so with no replacement found we’re assuming this ride “Sold?” While this one got away, please reach out either by email or call us directly if you’d like to be informed when we come across something similar.
Low-mileage first-generation “NA” Mazda Miatas are a fairly common sight once the weather warms well enough for top-down weather. Our latest example is this red 21.5K mile 1991 MX5 originally listed in May 2021 on Craigslist in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey with only 21,500 original miles for sale with an asking price of $15,000. Prices for unmolested examples are on the rise and the Hagerty Insurance Online Valuation Tool confirms the asking price falls between this guide’s #3 “Good” estimate of $7,600 and the #2 “Excellent” appraisal of $17,300 before adding another one thousand for the optional hard top. What we like about this example are the leather seats, which were not available on the early non-special edition models.
Here’s the seller’s description:
“$15k obo.
21.5k ORIGINAL MILES
clean title
long nose
lsd
all vins match
hardtop only with car – in great shape
only mods to car are cibie headlights and black leather seats (not sure who did this but they’re nice and look stock)
new tires, brakes, battery, fluids, everything.
you could drive this 1,000 miles a summer for the next decade and still profit.
not doing BAT or cars and bids, if it doesn’t sell here it’ll just be worth more next year.“
