Ken, the current caretaker of this Opel GT, rescued the car approximately two years ago from a stalled father and son project that really just needed to be reassembled with a few new parts added to the large number of parts that came with the car. Originally built as a Rallye Orange car, the Father and Son team completed a color change repaint in a close approximation of Flame Red.  We rate the paint job an amateur-level job and the Lemon Squad inspector went to great lengths to show the areas of orange peel and other blemishes.  It’s a great-looking car, but know that the paint is not Concours quality.

Ken reports that all the replaced pieces were provided new in their shipping boxes. It is now complete and back on the road running great. While Ken elected to install the aftermarket wheels shown on the car, the original rims will be included as part of the sale (pictures to be provided soon).

Can shipping be set up through your company?Does the winning bidder have to pick it up locally or provide a third party shipper?

Yes, we can provide the contacts for several recommended shippers so that you do not have to take your chances dealing with a broker.

I can’t believe the winning bid didn’t best the reserve on this GT. I thought my bid of $7500 was at least a grand over true value. Good luck.

Other than being sold at their dealerships i don’t think Buick had anything to do with the GT.

The seller does not have any receipts to prove the engine has been rebuilt but is confident at a minimum it has been resealed that included a head gasket. As the pre-purchase inspection (“PPI”) and videos illustrate, the engine starts and idles well and the inspection drive indicated the engine has adequate power.

Vladimir, as is true with any reserve auction, the reserve price is not revealed until a bid equal to or exceeding it has been received.

Nice car but let’s be realistic. Amature resto with plenty of flaws. Nice driver hopefully. $8900 is a very fair offer. Have cash
