Fourteen Months Gone: 1972 Dodge Polara 9P Station Wagon – Sold?

Aug 2021 | Craigslist ClassiFINDS, Wagon Wednesday

September 15, 2021 Update – While this “Classifind” expired recently, given the seller’s past history we suspect may not actually be sold yet.  For now, we’re labeling this ride “Sold?” However, we will keep an eye out for an updated listing. In the interim, please reach out either by email or call Rudy directly if you’d like to be informed when we come across something similar.

August 18, 2021 Update – The Internet and Guys With Rides never forget. In the case of this Dodge Polara street machine, we first featured it in June of last year and assumed the seller’s deletion of the meant he achieved a quick sale at that time. Fast forward fourteen months and we just confirmed the same seller once again has their Polara Custom street machine listed for sale. This time around, the car features “steelies” and poverty caps rather than the Centerline-style wheels the car sported last year.

June 10, 2020 Update – We’re not surprised this unique 440-powered Dodge Polara nine-passenger station wagon we originally featured on May 6th appears to be sold as the seller deleted their Craigslist post.  Unlike most Mopar street machines we come across, the private seller of this example priced his below $15,000 and to his credit, the station wagon sold quickly.  Good luck with the purchase!

Usually avoided for use as a street machine due to their higher weight, we love coming across an enthusiast who dares to be different such as the builder of this 500 horsepower, 440-powered 1972 Dodge Polara nine-passenger station wagon first listed in June 2020 in Albany, New York with a revised asking price of $12,900, which is six hundred less than the original ask of $13,500.  Checking the Collector Car Market Place Valuation Tool confirms this private seller has his Wagon Street Machine priced between this guide’s #2 “Very Good” estimate of $11,500 and its #1 “Excellent” appraisal of $19,200.

My friend of almost 50 years owned that car and sold it a few years back. I did ride in it a few times. It was like being in his parent’s Polara wagon when we were kids. I like how it’s hot rodded now.
