Righteous Rake: 1994 Chevrolet C1500 Short Bed – SOLD!
October 11, 2021 Update – We confirmed the seller of this “Classifind” deleted their listing, so we’re now able to call this one “SOLD!” While this one got away, please reach out either by email or call us directly if you’d like to be informed when we come across something similar.
The right color with the right stance shod with the right wheels. This 1994 Chevrolet C1500 short-bed pickup originally listed in September 2021 in Indian Trail, North Carolina (Charlotte) pretty much appears what we would want to have for a daily driver truck. Most importantly, the seller emphasizes his truck is lowered properly with the right suspension equipment. More importantly, the fenders have not been rolled to make room for the larger rubber.
Offered at $21,500 Or Best Offer currently, comparing that price against the Hagerty Insurance Online Valuation Tool confirms the private seller has their C1500 priced between this guide’s #2 “Excellent” estimate of $17,500 and its #1 “Concours” appraisal of $28,200.
Chevrolet launched its four-generation C/K light-duty truck line in April 1987 for the 1988 model year. Labeled internally as the GMT400, these were the first generation of Chevy trucks not assigned a generational moniker by General Motors. Slightly smaller in cab dimensions than the previous Rounded Line generation, the fourth-generation C/K increased interior space over its predecessor. After trailing Ford and Dodge for over a decade, GM introduced the C/K in an extended-cab configuration.
The MotorWeek Retro Review Channel provides an overview from 1988 when Chevrolet first launched their fourth-generation C/K line:
With the proliferation of third-generation Chevy Square Bodies rising in value, we’d prefer to drive this GMT400 as it’s the best blend of old and new. About the only thing we might upgrade down the road is swapping out the original 305 cubic inch small block for a more powerful LS V8, but that’s just us. For now, this C1500 more than looks the part.
Here’s the seller’s description:
“I have decided to sell my extremely nice 94 C1500. This isn’t a cheap truck, so it isn’t cheap. Located just Southeast of Charlotte, NC.
Asking $21,500 OBO
94 Chevrolet C1500
93k original miles
305 V8
Automatic Transmission
Power windows, locks, cruise control, etc.
Magnaflow full exhaust system
5/6 Lowering Kit with C-notch (the right way)
22/20 American Racing Torque Thrust
Tires do not rub and fenders are not rolled.
This is an extremely nice truck that’s in excellent condition. Everything works as it should. A/C blows super cold, heat is hot and both power windows work. Runs and drives as it should. Paint is flawless, seriously, flawless. The truck needs absolutely nothing. Clean NC title in hand ready to go. Not many OBS Chevrolet trucks left this clean.
I’m more than happy to get additional pictures and or walk-around video for a serious buyer.
May consider partial trades. Send me what you have in mind as well as trade value. No bikes!“
