February 16, 2021 Update – It’s baaaaack…six months ago we assumed the expired listing for this answer to a question no one else ever asked has finally found a buyer. June 16, 2020 Update: Yes, this half Chevy Square Body and half ’59 Cadillac creation remains available with a fresh listing but a very stale asking price of $28,000. We continue to believe what’s really holding this creation back is not the merge of the two vehicles so much as the paint shade, over-the-top lighting system, and price.
February 10, 2020 Update: The combination Chevy Square Body and ’59 Cadillac Coupe DeVille its creator calls a “Chevillac” and nicknamed it “Franky” is still available for the same price of $28,000. The creator states in his post that everything in this build is either new or rebuilt, so we get the impression he’s staying firm at the same price to recoup as much of his investment as possible. We’re beginning to think what’s really holding this creation back is not the merge of the two vehicles so much as the paint shade and the over-the-top lighting system, but that’s just our humble opinion. Comment below and let us know your thoughts. If you like it and buy it – as always, good luck with the purchase!
Every once in a while, we come across something completely different such as this highly customized 1975 Chevrolet pickup known as “Franky” on Craigslist in New Windsor, New York. This Chevillac as the current caretaker refers to it, mated a chopped Chevrolet Square Body truck with a highly modified pickup bed incorporating the tail fins of a 1959 Cadillac. The current caretaker is asking $28,000 for their creation, so we’ll have to see whether there are any takers as in this case it’s purely a matter of taste whether someone wants to pick up where the current owner will leave it and further refine it.
We’d love to hear your thoughts about this “Chevillac”. Comment below and let us know!
