1941 Ford Super Deluxe Woodie Wagon – Seller No Response

November 8, 2022 Update – Despite several attempts to contact the seller, they have not returned our calls, so until we hear from them we’re removing the car from our auction queue.

Guys With Rides is busy preparing Lot 145, a  survivor-quality 1941 Ford Super Deluxe Woodie Wagon, which we will offer in an online, reserve-style auction format on behalf of the private seller.

The seller is currently in the process of replacing a minor, non-structural door piece, so as soon as they have that resolved, they will have this Woodie Wagon ready for auction. So, stay tuned as we’re hoping to offer this car in September 2022.

This 1941 Ford Super Deluxe Woodie Wagon is part of a collection located in Healdsburg, California.

For now, here is the seller’s description in their own words:

“This was an unrestored original Woodie from Cape May, New Jersey, Kept in dry storage until 1989 when sold to a Woodie collector from Laguna Beach CA. We purchased this from him in 1996. We did a body-off restoration keeping as much of the original wood as possible. It has 2 coats of spar varnish to preserve the wood. The engine is the original manual with 52,500 miles, and it purrs and runs COOL. The 4-speed truck transmission was added after we purchased it. It has 3 brown leather seats in good condition. The grill has been replated. It has all new slats in the interior roof, and new black vinyl on top, including new white wall tires and red double-stripped hubcaps.”

Did it survive a body-off restoration after 1996?
Other than that, this is one excellent vehicle. This type of vehicle has been on my car-dar (car radar) for years.
