2006 Ford Mustang GT – Sold Locally For $19,500

Ford introduced a re-designed, fifth-generation, S-197, Mustang for the 2005 model year. The fifth-generation Mustang’s styling echoes the fastback Mustang models of the late-1960s. Ford’s senior vice president of design, J Mays, called it “retro-futurism”. The fifth-generation Mustang was manufactured at the Flat Rock Assembly Plant in Flat Rock, Michigan.

For the 2005 to 2010 production years, the GT used an aluminum block 4.6 L SOHC three-valve Modular V8 with variable camshaft timing (VCT) that produced 300 horsepower. Base models had Tremec T5 five-speed manual transmissions with Ford’s 5R55S five-speed automatic being optional.

If you wanted to buy a 2006 Ford Mustang GT when new, this 17,123 original mile, one-owner example is probably as close as you can get without traveling back in time.  In addition to the standard GT coupe features, this example came equipped with the upgraded interior package, polished aluminum rims, and the Shaker stereo system. This car features a five-speed automatic transmission. The only non-original item added to this Mustang is a set of matching Weather Tech floor liners. If desired, however, the original factory floor mats can be found in the car’s trunk along with original selling dealer’s advertising license plate cover.

The complimentary CarFax® confirms this 2006 Ford Mustang GT Premium Coupe to be a one-owner, accident-free example with only 17,000 original miles.  To review the CarFax, please click on the picture below. When finished, click on your browser’s back button to return back to this listing:

Rudy – was a Vehicle Inspection conducted for this vehicle as you’ve provided for other auctions?

Hi Ed, great question and thank you for asking. With one owner, extremely low mileage cars such as this Mustang GT, we typically do not provide a PPI as it remains in like-new condition. We’re open to providing one on this car if that will help build the bidder’s confidence.

Wayne, sorry we do not. This Mustang was stored winters since new and is the main reason it has such low mileage. The seller reports the car is like new top to bottom that will not dissapoint.
