This particular Vespa was used sparingly by the previous owner who had it for some time.  When COVID hit he put it away in his garage.  Prior to that, he had just finished a full service on the motor by having it redone and bored out with a 177 kit by Quaker City Motorsport in Glenside, Pa.  When the current caretaker assumed ownership, he cleaned it up, checked the spark plug which was fine but cleaned it, emptied the tank and filled it with fresh 93 gas, and refilled the separate Oil tank with fresh two-stroke oil.  It kicked the second time he tried starting it and off he went on the ride!

Front and rear brakes work as well as they were designed back in 1980, and the scooter runs effortlessly through its transmission of 4 gears on the handlebar without incident.  All turn signals and brake lights and front headlight work as they should as do the speedometer and odometer.  This is a fabulous vintage example of a 1980 Vespa PX125, and those that know these scooters know how well they run and last.

            Yes the idle is high initially and immediately upon putting it into 1st gear it meters down quite nicely. Thank you for your interest.
