Honda produced its fourth-generation Civic for the 1988 through 1991 model years in three variants; 3-door hatchback, 4-door sedan, and 5-door wagon.  The fourth-generation Civic featured a new double wishbone suspension in the front and an independent suspension in the rear supported by a 98.4-inch wheelbase. Honda engineers redesigned the fourth-generation Civic with a lower hood line and more glass, giving less drag.

Honda made the five-door wagon available with either front-wheel-drive or an optional RealTime Four-wheel-drive powertrain. The FWD versions relied on a 1.5 liter SOHC 16-valve  inline-four.

The original owner of this 1989 Honda Civic Wagon has kept her beloved wagon maintained since new.  The car features a rebuilt engine with approximately 26K miles. Also noteworthy is the fact that this 1989 Honda Civic wagon features optional factory air conditioning and a four-speed automatic transmission.

In addition to the rebuilt engine and the working air conditioning that has been properly converted to modern 134A refrigerant, we love how solid and rust-free the undercarriage and body of this 1989 Honda Civic remains after 33 years.  This Civic would make a great first car for a college-bound student or might make be the basis for an interesting build by an avid Honda enthusiast.
