In the Spring of 2013, General Motors launched the completely redesigned 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra based on the company’s new K2XX platform. The third-generation Silverado 1500 provided three gas engine options: a 4.3 L EcoTec3 V6, a 5.3 L EcoTec3 V8, and a 6.2 L EcoTec3 V8. Chevrolet’s MyLink touch-screen multimedia interface system became available on most models. It included A2DP stereo streaming technologies, Bluetooth hands-free telephone, USB hookups, and an input for an Apple iPod or iPhone.  OnStar became standard on all models.

Underneath, the Silverado rides on a fully boxed high-strength steel frame produced using hydroforming technology; the truck cab’s frame is also built with high-strength steel. The third-generation Silverado uses aluminum on the hood for the engine block and control arms to save mass. The truck’s bed is made of roll-formed steel instead of stamped steel used by other manufacturers to save weight and gain strength.

Here is a complimentary CarFax® for this 2014 Chevrolet Silverado C1500 confirming the two-person ownership and mileage. As the CarFax notes, this truck suffered minor rear-end damage that was immediately repaired.  Rudy made a point to take pictures and video of the underside of the rear of the truck, and based on his observations, the damage did not appear to affect the underlying structure.

  1. Daniel Levine

Is there any type of reserve on this truck or a “buy it now” option?

    • Guys with Rides

Hi Daniel, if you click the blue link, you’ll be directed to the bidding page where, after registering to be a bidder, you can select the $29,900 “Buy Now” option or enter a bid. The reserve price on this truck is lower than the Buy Now price.

  2. Joe

Why are all the Guage lights flashing constantly in the driving video

    • Guys with Rides

Hi Joe, thank you for bidding! The dashboard has no issue; what you see in the video is an optical illusion. Unfortunately, that flickering effect is the difference between my camera’s frame rate (which was set at 60 frames per second) and the dashboard’s refresh rate. In person, it looks and works well. I run into the same problem sometimes with modern LED tail lights.
