Rare 5-Speed and A/C: 1987 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer 4×4

February 8, 2023 Update – The high bid did not meet the seller’s reserve price, so we’ve moved this vehicle to our “Rides Still Available Page.”  Click the blue button above or below to navigate this ride’s bid page, where you can either select the green “Buy Now” button or place a realistic counteroffer in the “Bid” box.

Chevrolet’s S-10 and GMC S-15 siblings were the first domestically built 1/4-ton pickup trucks and compact SUVs when they launched for the 1982 model year. Not surprisingly, GM relied on its existing parts bin where possible to build the new vehicles.  Track width and some suspension components were similar to the former GM H-body subcompacts (think Vega/Monza). While Pontiac’s 2.5 Liter “Iron Duke” four-cylinder engine came standard in 1985, most buyers opted for the optional 2.8 Liter V6.  The Chevrolet and GMC models were identical apart from the grille, tailgate, and assorted insignia.

In addition to being equipped with the more desirable 2.8 Liter V6, the 1987 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer offered at auction features a rarely seen floor-shifted, 5-speed manual transmission.  Even better is the fact this Blazer features factory air conditioning and Cruise Control. The seller notes their S-10’s interior is like new, save for a sagging headliner that will need attention.  In addition to being a western vehicle all of its life, the seller notes the tires have good tread and are mounted on the factory wheels.

We are awaiting additional pictures from the seller and will post them as soon as we receive them.  Please check back soon.
