Buick, General Motors’ luxury division, introduced the Wildcat model line in 1962 as a high-performance option in their lineup. The 1967 model year marked the fourth generation of the Buick Wildcat, and the convertible version was one of the most sought-after variants of this classic car.

The 1967 Buick Wildcat Convertible featured a bold and distinctive design that made it stand out on the road. Its long and sleek bodylines exuded elegance, while the characteristic Buick grille, adorned with the iconic tri-shield emblem, proudly displayed its brand identity. The front fascia boasted a dual headlamp setup, adding to its sporty appearance. The convertible top was power-operated and could be stowed away seamlessly, transforming the car into a stylish open-top cruiser.

Under the hood, the Buick Wildcat Convertible packed serious power. It came equipped with a variety of engine options to cater to different performance preferences. The standard powerplant was a 430 cubic inch (7.0-liter) V8 engine, producing around 360 horsepower and an impressive 475 lb-ft of torque. The available high-performance engine was the Wildcat 465, a 425 cubic inch (7.0-liter) V8 that churned out 360 horsepower and an astounding 465 lb-ft of torque. These powerful engines allowed the Wildcat Convertible to offer thrilling acceleration and impressive top speeds, making it a formidable contender on the open road.

Step inside the 1967 Buick Wildcat Convertible, and you’ll find a spacious and luxurious cabin that can comfortably seat up to five passengers. Buick was known for its commitment to providing a refined driving experience, and the Wildcat was no exception. The interior was appointed with high-quality materials, including plush upholstery and tasteful trim accents, adding to its premium feel. As for features, the Wildcat Convertible was well-equipped for its time. It offered amenities such as power windows, power-adjustable seats, air conditioning, and a premium sound system, providing both comfort and convenience for its occupants during long drives or cruises around town.

The driving experience of the 1967 Buick Wildcat Convertible was a perfect blend of power, comfort, and smooth handling. Its powerful engine options ensured quick acceleration and a satisfying exhaust note. The suspension system provided a balanced ride, easily absorbing road imperfections, while the power steering and brakes made maneuvering this sizable convertible a manageable task.

The 1967 Buick Wildcat Convertible remains a cherished classic car among collectors and enthusiasts. Its combination of elegant styling, powerful performance, and luxurious features made it an attractive choice during its time, and it continues to evoke nostalgia for the golden era of American automobiles.  Today, well-preserved examples of the 1967 Buick Wildcat Convertible are highly sought-after by collectors, and owning one of these iconic vehicles is a ticket to both a piece of automotive history and a thrilling driving experience.

The seller reports that their all-red Wildcat features its original 430 cubic inch V8, and the car is in all original condition with working factory A/C.

We’re not sure what you are trying to insinuate, but 466677Y135154 is the correct VIN for this 1967 Wildcat. Unlike the 17-digit VIN standard put in place in model year 1981, prior to that car manufacturers could use what they wanted. Throughout the 1960s, GM used a 13-digit standard. We’ve added a picture of the translation in the body of the car’s description above. Happy bidding!

Tom, we had a professional photographer take a number of undercarriage pictures confirming this Wildcat is a rust-free car. Please let me know if you do not see them in the gallery above. The seller confirms the car runs well and that includes the factory A/C system.
