September 3, 2023 Update – The seller updated their existing listing by lowering their asking price again, from the already-lowered $6,500 ask to $5,500 or best offer.  The seller hints their rare-in-the-US Peugeot must go, so somebody will likely get a great deal on this wagon.

August 9, 2023 Update – The seller deleted their original ad and replaced it with a completely new set of pictures and descriptions.  At first glance, it appears to be a different car. However, given the location and the dash cover, we believe these are, in fact, the same car. In their latest listing, the seller lowered their asking price from $8,000 to $6,500.

    Jeremy Clarkson was one of the hosts on Top Gear. He did an episode on peugeot’s in general. He starts with a 504 diesel wagon in North Africa and proclaims it as the longest living vehicle in history. Most having over a million miles. The 505 he describes the turbo gas sedan as being one of the finest sports sedans ever made. This wagon is neither one of those but it carries the bones of both. And the fact it has 190,000 miles on it shows that it was not owned by somebody incompetent when it comes to maintenance. And that said it needs to be owned by somebody equally as mechanically competent. I’m not talking about being a mechanic but knowing when not to abuse it and knowing how to search for parts and being able to convince a mechanic on how it needs to be repaired. If you don’t have any of those traits it can be a tough car to own. But if you do, it’s very rewarding. I’ve been driving a 505 turbo gas since it was new back in 1986. And I like it as much today as I did when it was new., 200,000 miles ago
