The Giulia Spider is part of Alfa Romeo’s long lineage of stylish and dynamic vehicles, known for their combination of elegance, driving dynamics, and engineering excellence.

The 1965 Giulia Spider features a timeless and curvaceous design that’s typical of Italian car aesthetics from that era. Its bodywork is characterized by smooth, flowing lines and well-proportioned dimensions. The car’s front end showcases a prominent chrome-rimmed grille with the Alfa Romeo emblem, flanked by rounded headlights and a simple yet graceful bumper. The hood features subtle bulges that add a touch of sportiness to the overall look.

The side profile reveals a low-slung stance with gently sloping fenders and a clean, unbroken beltline. The doors are often adorned with minimalistic chrome accents, and the car’s classic roadster proportions are highlighted by the long hood and a relatively compact cabin. The rear end features elegantly rounded tail lights, a graceful decklid, and dual exhaust outlets.

The interior of the 1965 Giulia Spider exudes a sense of vintage charm and driver-focused simplicity. The cabin offers a cozy and intimate environment, emphasizing the connection between the driver, the car, and the road. The dashboard is straightforward, featuring a set of analog gauges providing information about speed, fuel level, engine temperature, and more. The center console is minimalistic, housing basic controls and switches.

Seating in the Giulia Spider is typically upholstered in high-quality leather or a combination of leather and fabric, reflecting the era’s attention to detail and craftsmanship. The two-seater setup creates an immersive driving experience, keeping the focus on the road and the joy of driving.

Under the hood, the 1965 Giulia Spider is often equipped with a 1600cc inline four-cylinder engine that delivers a balance of power and agility. The engine’s displacement and power output may vary depending on the specific model and configuration. The car’s lightweight construction and a nimble suspension setup provide spirited handling and responsiveness. Here is the seller’s synopsis in his own words:

This gorgeous 1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia Spider Normale features the beautiful color combination of Rosso Alfa red over a black interior. Both interior and exterior present extremely well on this example. Power comes from a light-alloy block 1,570cc twin-cam engine. It has a manual 5-speed transmission, two-barrel Weber carburetor, soft top, car cover, front-wheel disc brakes, Alfa Romeo original hub caps, and steel wheels. The silver-painted 15″ Borrani steel wheels feature chrome-plated hubcaps wrapped in 155mm-width Pirelli tires and are accompanied by a matching spare wheel. Completely original, with the exception of a Weber carburetor and MSD electronic ignition, it has benefited from meticulous maintenance. With a combination of a rev-happy engine, fine-handling, responsive chassis, and excellent brakes, this is truly a driver’s car par excellence.
