February 4, 2021 Update – We came across a new listing for this unique ’52 Chevy Sedan Delivery we first featured in December.  The pictures, description, and price all remain the same.

Unlike their truck-based Panel Delivery counterparts, auto manufacturers made Sedan Deliveries based on their car platforms. It might be a stretch, but one could consider these fully enclosed El Caminos or Rancheros.  We love the unique half-car, half-van look, especially ones heavily modified, such as this black Chevrolet Sedan Delivery Street Machine for sale, originally listed in December 2021 and still posted on Craigslist in Williamstown, New Jersey, with a revised asking price of $35,000 (the original ask was $39,000). Yes, the seller’s ask is below the current Collector Car Market Review Online Tool’s #1 “Excellent” appraisal of $39,200 for a stock example.  We challenge you first to source a similar vehicle and then get it to this level of detail for under $40,000.   Our favorite part of this build is the Frenched ’57 Corvette taillights that look way better than the originals.

Here’s the seller’s description:

“1952 Chevy Sedan Delivery (Black) – VERY NICE! Has TONS of Extras! It has a 12-volt conversion, Scott Air Ride Conversion, 350 automatic transmission, 1957 Corvette Tail Lights, ReChromed One Piece Bumpers, 4 Bar Rear Set up and Electric Windows, Finished Interior, and also an Edelbrock 4 Barrel Carb. This Vehicle Drives Well, and All Lights are Working. Very Nice Car with Tons of Extras! It just needs a radio face and larger side mirrors, and it is complete.

I am asking for $39,000 (Or Best Offer). I would also consider taking in trade any Harley Davidson motorcycles.

Feel free to email me back if you have any questions or want to come and see this vehicle in person.”

Sedan Deliveries are not on the decline but certain models and years are like this Chevy. The 49 to 54 are many and seem to be for sale everywhere. Then take a nice 40 Ford SD and even tho high priced will sell. I buy and sell SDs specifically and what they will be used for has a lot to do with desire and what it sells for. Most of my customers want one to advertise their business and that’s mainly who we cater to. Either way, SDs are the coolest commercial body style out there

Steve, thank you for your inquiry but please note that this Sedan Delivery is one of our Craigslist ClassiFINDS that we post as a lead for our website visitors. We are not affiliated with the sale of this car, so if you are interested, you need to click the lick in the Craigslist ad to speak directly with the seller. Thank you for looking and happy hunting! When you review the history of how long we’ve been tracking this ride, you’ll see the seller has remained firm on $35,000 for nearly three years and counting.
