How much does it cost to sell my car?

Our 3P Proven Partnership Plan is straightforward: $1 to list your vehicle, 2% seller commission, and 2% buyer premium. For vehicles valued between $20K-$100K, this means significantly lower fees than platforms like Bring a Trailer, Mecum, or Barrett-Jackson. Plus, we cover the $500 cost of professional photography and pre-purchase inspection upfront.

What vehicles do you accept?

We focus on classic cars valued between $20,000 and $100,000. We’re selective about what we accept to ensure every vehicle gets proper attention and has the best chance of success. Quality matters more to us than quantity.

Will my car be accepted?

Not every submission makes it onto our platform—we maintain high standards to protect both sellers and buyers. If your classic car is well-maintained, properly documented, and falls within our target value range, submit it for consideration. We’ll give you an honest assessment.

How long does the auction process take?

Timeline varies by vehicle, but we’ll work with you to schedule professional photography and the pre-purchase inspection, then launch your auction when everything is ready. We prioritize doing it right over doing it fast.

Do I need to pay for photography or inspections?

No. We invest $500 upfront to cover professional photography and pre-purchase inspections. This is part of our partnership approach—we have skin in the game from day one.

What if I was rejected by Bring a Trailer?

We evaluate vehicles independently. Many quality classics don’t fit BaT’s specific criteria but are perfect for our platform. Submit your vehicle and let us take a look. Check out our guide for sellers rejected by BaT.

Can dealers list vehicles?

No. GuysWithRides is exclusively a private seller to private buyer marketplace. This keeps our community authentic and our fees low.  Even more importantly, dealers hunting for inventory are not allowed to bid on our website.

What’s included in the pre-purchase inspection?

Our pre-purchase inspections provide buyers with an independent, professional assessment of your vehicle’s condition, including mechanical systems, body, interior, and any areas of concern. This transparency builds buyer confidence and typically results in better sale prices.
